“THE FRACAS ON FRONT STREET”
Dates: On display through May 1st
Synopsis: This one-of-a-kind exhibit features two of AAH’s most prolific artists of all time, Auntie Wei and Charlies “Li” Hidley, battling it out (and spilling out) of the Michener gallery. Though from two different schools on opposite sides of the globe — Traditional Chinese Watercolor and New York — this clash does anything but!

Synopsis: “Wading In” will showcase the latest works of Paul Nagle and explore the new direction that his art is taking.

Synopsis: This solo show features the artwork of Marina Radanovic.
Message From the Artist:
“Raised in the Serbian Orthodox Church, I was greeted weekly by beautiful icons of saints and biblical events in symbolic, Byzantine depictions. This developed an interest in figurative studies and recording people without a camera.
The work displayed here varies in subject and portrayal. Some are portraits of musicians that I painted live at their concerts. A couple are self portraits or fun depictions of friends. But my favorite are the pieces I refer to as “puzzles.” These paintings contain symbols that make statements on conflict, learning, and society, among other things, and are windows into my own mind, phantasmagorias, and internal strife.”
